Overview
When patients are looking to correct a number of age-related facial issues, many have happily turned to Juvéderm for help. This family of injectable fillers is used to do everything, from filling in moderate to severe lines and wrinkles between the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds) to enhancing volume and plumpness of the cheeks and lips. During a consultation, patients can meet with Plano, TX board-certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. Vu Ho to determine the appropriate dosage to treat the patient’s cosmetic issues. Comprised of hyaluronic acid, a substance found in the body naturally, Juvéderm adds hydration to the skin to replace volume and provide firmer, more youthful skin.
What to Expect
Beforehand, our team will determine the appropriate formula, injection site(s), and the correct dosage to begin this in-office treatment. Some patients prefer topical numbing cream to be applied to the treatment sites. The injectable contains a local anesthetic, as well. The filler will be delivered through a fine needle to the lips, cheeks, and/or wrinkles and lines around the nose and mouth. Patients will feel a small prick and a tingling sensation from the injection. The treatment typically lasts 30 – 45 minutes.

I saw Dr. Ho and received Botox in my forehead, frown lines, and outside of my eyes. I also got filler in my cheeks and my lips. First of all, I have never felt so welcomed. I was treated with so much kindness and Dr. Ho made sure to walk me through everything that was happening. Not only was it pain free, I wasn’t even nervous because I knew exactly what was happening the whole time. I did the dissolving of the lips I have never had them dissolved within 5-7 years. I did lip filler, lip flip with Botox, and around the eye Botox. This was my first experience with Acacia. She is absolutely amazing and I’m beyond impressed of how great everything turned at. 10/10 recommend with no hesitation.

Anticipated Results
After the injectable, there might be slight redness in the treated area. There could also be mild swelling, but it should go away rather quickly. Since there’s no downtime associated with Juvéderm, patients can return to their normal activities immediately. The face will be dramatically improved immediately after the treatment, and most patients can expect reliable results for up to one year.
