What to Expect
Before treatment, the skin will be properly cleaned and prepped. The doctor will place the Elite MPX laser on the surface of the skin to target the unwanted spider veins. The heat from the laser damages the vein, which leads to the formation of scar tissue. This scar tissue will cause the vein to close, and once it closes, its blood source is lost. Consequently, the vein will die. Since this is an in-office procedure, patients will be able to resume normal activities after treatment.
