ABOUT VAMPIRE FACIAL

A vampire facial is a combination of microneedling and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Microneedling uses short, fine needles to puncture the skin. These needles range in size from.5 to 2.5 millimeters. Rest assured, the needles feel like tiny pinpricks and only go skin-deep. The pricks are used to “injure” the skin, prompting your skin to heal itself by producing elastin and collagen, and allowing the PRP to penetrate deeper.

Once the microneedling is completed, PRP is applied to your skin topically. PRP is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein produced from blood. PRP has a large concentration of growth factors, helping tissue to heal and repair, treating all types of skin issues.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

Dr. Ho at Beyond Beautiful in Plano Texas uses microneedling with PRP. The first step is the initial blood draw, which is relatively painless. Your blood is then placed in a centrifuge to separate the plasma and platelets from the red blood cells.

Before the microneedling portion of the treatment begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the face to manage any discomfort of the needling.

Once the numbing cream is active and the microneedling has been completed, the PRP is rubbed on the skin. The PRP should remain on the skin for the rest of the day to maximize results. Patients will notice dry, red, sensitive skin, much like a light sunburn for the first few days after treatment.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

There are many benefits to the vampire facial, including boosting the turnover of skin cells, improving skin tone and texture. Microneedling with PRP will also reduce fine lines and signs of aging. This treatment can be especially helpful for those who suffered from acne and have visible acne scars or skin damage from prolonged exposure to the sun.

I had Sarah do a HydraFacial on me today and it was a wonderful experience. I love her personality and I left feeling great and my skin looked so refreshed and hydrated.

Just finished my first Hydra-facial treatment with Sarah. She was amazing, friendly and the treatment was painless! Can’t wait to see the final results after 24 hours. Hydro-facial is the perfect treatment to do! I highly recommend Sarah and beyond beautiful as well ♥️

I have never had a HydraFacial until today and let me say, the experience was elevated to a whole new level because of the esthetician. Sarah was not only sweet and knowledgeable in the treatment being performed, but she had me laughing and enjoying the entire experience. She is extremely sincere and I can’t wait to see her again. Never had such an amazing experience and my tired, dry skin looks alive and glowing,

Sarah is an amazing esthetician, and she is always more than willing to explain all the procedures and products. I recently got the hydro-facial, and it helps with clearing my breakouts and gives my skin a more healthier look. It doesn’t have any downtime so it’s great to get the day of an event or just to give your skin a refresher.

Ideal Candidates

The HydraFacial system is designed to be suitable for patients of all ages and skin types. The treatment will be customized to suit your specific needs and goals. Skin concerns that may be improved by a HydraFacial include:

  • Brown or sun spots
  • Chronic or infrequent outbreaks of acne
  • Decreased skin elasticity or firmness
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Large or congested pores
  • Oily skin
  • Rough skin texture
  • Uneven or dull skin tone
What are the results like?

HydraFacials can result in a glowing, healthy complexion. While traditional facials are effective, the HydraFacial system uses advanced technology to take the cleansing process one step further by addressing your unique trouble areas, such as the pores, to offer a deeper, more thorough level of cleansing. After a HydraFacial, your skin will look and feel softer and brighter.

Can I combine this with other treatments?

It is common for our patients to combine their HydraFacial procedure with another skin treatment, such as BOTOX or fillers. In most appointments, we will complete the facial first, then schedule additional time so the injector can perform the injectable treatment. It is also important to note that dermaplaning and certain peels can also be combined and are often incorporated into the HydraFacial treatment session.

How often should I have one?

HydraFacials can be scheduled and performed numerous times throughout the year and as often as needed for skin improvement. Many of our patients are on a regular rotation and schedule their HydraFacials about two months apart and supplement with traditional facials in between.

Is it better than a chemical or laser peel?

All of these treatments are great for skin cell turnover and a brighter complexion. Depending on your skin needs, a laser or chemical peel may be needed to address certain skin conditions that a HydraFacial cannot. During your skin assessment and consultation, a treatment plan may include a combination of these various procedures for optimal skin health year-round.

What to Expect

If needed, you may reapply makeup following your treatment to reduce mild redness before you resume your daily activities. You will likely have visible improvements to your complexion immediately after your procedure with full results visible in 3 – 7 days. To sustain the benefits of your treatment, we recommend getting these treatments every 4 – 6 weeks. During your consultation, we can help you schedule future treatments and discuss products that may be used at home to best maintain your complexion in between HydraFacial appointments.

Personalize Your Facial

With a wide variety of facial treatments and products on the market, it may seem impossible to figure out which is best for your needs.
