Reduce the Appearance of Crow's Feet with Bellafill®

Crow's feet are the lines and creases that appear around the outer corners of your eyes when you smile. Unfortunately, these wrinkles only become more prominent over the years due to the gradual loss of collagen in our skin. While Crow's feet may be a sign of a life well-lived, they can also make us seem older or tired. Board-certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. Vu Ho may recommend an advanced dermal filler product called Bellafill® to help reduce these lines and give you a more youthful, refreshed look.
Want to learn about Bellafill® treatment and how it works? Call our team members at Beyond Beautiful for an appointment in Prosper, Solano, McKinney, Allen, Richardson, and Plano, TX. We can help you look your best with this amazing option.
Why are Crow's feet so common?
Crow's feet are a common sign of aging because the skin around our eyes is particularly delicate and thin compared to other areas. This makes it susceptible to fine lines and wrinkles from repetitive facial expressions, such as smiling or squinting. Unfortunately, these lines can deepen due to lifestyle factors like smoking and sun exposure.
While many people consider cosmetic surgery to address Crow's feet, there are less invasive options available. One such option is Bellafill®, a collagen-based dermal filler that can improve these lines without having to go under the knife. While it is not an indefinite solution, Bellafill® can provide long-lasting results with minimal downtime.
How does Bellafill® work?
Bellafill® is an injectable filler composed of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres suspended in a collagen gel. The gel provides more volume around the eyes, while the PMMA microspheres stimulate new production of collagen over time. As a result, Bellafill® produces both immediate and long-term results for managing Crow's feet. Our patients in McKinney and Frisco, TX are thrilled with their smoother, younger-looking skin after Bellafill®.
What can I expect during Bellafill® treatment?
Before the procedure, Dr. Ho will conduct a thorough evaluation to determine if Bellafill® is the right choice for your needs moving forward. During Bellafill® treatment in Prosper, Solano, McKinney, Allen, Richardson, and Plano, TX, we use a fine needle to inject the filler into targeted areas. The procedure typically takes about 15 – 30 minutes and should not feel too painful. Afterward, you may experience some mild swelling or bruising, but any side effects should subside within a few days.
Will my Crow's feet come back?
While other dermal fillers may only last for a few months or one year, Bellafill® continues to stimulate collagen production for up to five years. Of course, individual results may vary, and maintenance appointments may be necessary. Dr. Ho can provide personalized recommendations for maintaining your outcomes at home. We suggest using sunscreen daily and being gentle with your skin to prolong the effects of Bellafill®.
